"Very helpful and friendly staff, good location, lots of facilities and a great price. I would spend a bit on the toilet disposal point...never have I felt more vulnerable to splashback! Hence the 4 no 5 stars"
"We decided to visit the riverside touring pitch, i would highly recommend they have gravel track pitches which is perfect, toilets and shower block very close and a little shop and restaurant close by. There is also a indoor swimming pool which is perfect. Very reasonably priced with electric hook up"
"Been coming here for years.. family love it. Both lodges and caravans to rent. Short walk out of the park over the road to the site club and small swimming pool. Nice village to walk to up heart attack hill. Perfect base to travel to local attractions like Berwick. Child and dog friendly. Has a little river running through it, popular for the children to plodge with their fishing nets. Cheviot hills on the door step for the hikers in us."
"Very pleasant, happy, cheerful staff - especially Scott - who seemed to pop up everywhere during our visit! One minute he was cooking us a delicious burger, serving tables, then life-guarding, then in the bar!! Maybe he has a twin!! Perhaps 🤔 Verdant needs to employ a couple more people to assist out of season visitors? Just a thought......"
"Booked a lodge for 5 days which was very nice and big. Loads of room. Could of done with some plastic plants or something to make it more homely. No books or games, so make sure you bring your own. We went in December and were hit with a cold spell. Water pipes tend to freeze and while heating still works, no water is a problem for flushing toilets etc. We had a full day without and it takes a while for them to defrost when temps go up. So we ended leaving a day early.. Nice place for walks etc. Tidy, Big site."
"We had a fantastic holiday - a lovely, clean park, very friendly staff on reception and in the site shop, lovely walks, a nice lake & river, and the quaint village of Wooler is just a short walk away too. The caravan accommodation was excellent, very clean and well equipped, and I was very impressed by the extra's like FreeSat TV and a picnic table outside our caravan. There is a pub and restaurant just over the road serving good food at a reasonable price, and lovely for morning coffee sitting outside in the sunshine!! The swimming pool was lovely too, especially the spa jacuzzi which was nice and hot!! I would recommend this park for a lovely, relaxing getaway and we will definitely return again soon!"
