"Great get away from it all place. Not a lot on site, but there is WIFI and Freeview TV in your lodge. Great for the kids, with a variety of walks and Coniston Water not far away. Staff were friendly, and helpful with assistance only a call or text away. Only drawback I would say is that check in is from 16.00 hrs, and you must depart at 10.00 hrs. If you could gain access at 14.00 hrs & 12.00 hrs departure, this would have been a more appreciative. Other than that no complaints or issues at all. Would definitely return."
"Stayed in the Acorn Retreat lodge. Could not have wished for a more private lodge. Amazing views over Coniston lake from our hot tub. Was a proper bolt hole to escape from day to day life. Was really enhanced by the four sheep randomly appearing at the windows!!"
"What a great place. Visited as a family 2 adults 2 children ( 9 &11). The accomadation was amazing and the hot tub sublime. Loads of lovely walks and activities for children nearby. The owners couldnt do enough for you and were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. What a fab place. We will be returning"
"Great time, brilliant lodge. Just sometimes there a few extremely loud other guests, but what can you do. Get them everywhere. Still go back."
"Excellent place to relax and unwind. Lodge was spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Hot tub was perfect, especially after the hike up Old Man of Coniston. Staff are very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Very nice secluded park, with great views of the Lake from the short walk to the top peak. Highly recommend this place for a great holiday."
"Located with good scenic road access to the north/south lakes, and nearby villages for provisions, pub meals (Farmers Arms is excellent). A small, secluded and quiet park which offers full amenities i.e. freezer/washing machine facilities and fully equipped and spotless caravans, and a real bonus to find a DVD player! A friendly and helpful staff team, and literally a 10 minite walk to lakeshore for day/evening walking (permitted pathways) and a daytime boat connection to the north lake end. Basically, if you are looking for a 'back to nature' base to explore lakeland, this caravan park offers everything. I am definitely going to use this park from now on for ALL my lakeland visits!"
